LATIFA AKHARBACH APPOINTED PRESIDENT OF MOROCCO’S HIGH AUTHORITY OF AV COMMUNICATION UBMS COMPLETES CITRUSS TV STUDIO INSTALLATION
Morocco’s King Mohammed VI has appointed Latifa Akharbach as the new president of the High Authority of Audiovisual Communication (HACA). Akharbach replaces Amina Lamrini El Ouahabi.
The HACA is responsible for all audiovisual communication services in the country including the granting of licenses for AV as well as the allocation of radio frequencies for broadcast programmes.
Akharbach is a Moroccan diplomat and journalist. She previously served as Morocco’s ambassador to Tunisia, prior to which she was secretary of state for foreign affairs. She also served as head of the Higher Institute of Information and Communication (ISIC) for 20 years, and was co- CEO of the stateowned radio channel SNRT.
