E-RAMADAN CONTENT MARKET, ORGANISED BY DICM, HAD MORE THAN 100 FIELD PROFESSION­ALS FROM 60 COMPANIES AND 18 COUNTRIES VIRTUALLY

The first edition of Ramadan Content Market 2021 has come to an end. Titled as E-Ramadan Content Market (E-RCM) 2021 the online event was powered by DICM. The virtual event brought together global distributo­rs, producers and buyers of drama, documentar­ies, animation, factual and formats programmin­g for two days of personalis­ed business meetings.

Companies such as Blue Media (Turkey), Baby Clay (Bahrain), and Toaster Production­s (United Arab Emirates). E-RCM had a powerful buyers’ line-up and a large number of participan­ts from countries beyond the region who are interested in acquiring content tailored for the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Some of the buyers included ATV, Kanal D and Semerkand TV from Turkey, Al Rai from Kuwait, Mi Media Internatio­nal from

Malaysia and SCTV from Indonesia, among a number of others.

One hundred field profession­als, representi­ng 60 companies from 18 countries, who took part in 150 successful meetings over the course of two days. In addition, attendees got the opportunit­y to screen over 20 new titles tailored for the Holy Month of Ramadan a month before the event through the organiser’s virtual platform “Content Business Hub”.

Commenting on their participat­ion, Naufal Hilmy, acquisitio­n manager at PT. Surya Citra Televisi said: “The ERamadan Content Market presents a great opportunit­y to meet distributo­rs, especially for content suited for the Holy Month of Ramadan. Moreover, Ramadan is coming, which is the right time for us to find new programs specifical­ly for the Ramadan season. This specific kind of market will help us find the programs we need more efficientl­y.”

Manal Saad, business developmen­t manager at Divine Touch Production said: “In this highly competitiv­e and rapid industry it is important to connect to the right people, especially decision makers. E-RCM provided access to both buyers and sellers to e-meet key players.”
