Theme: A fu­sion of east­ern roots and western sen­si­bil­i­ties. “Hav­ing been born and raised in Lon­don, I al­ways imag­ined hav­ing a fairy tale wed­ding wear­ing a white gown,” says Nyma. “My hus­band is more tra­di­tional and still very much in touch with his Pak­istani roots so we did both.” Dress: Pak­istani gown by Sana Sa­fi­naz and Western gown by Donaco Cou­ture. Shoes: Jimmy Choo and Manolo Blah­nik. Rings: Harry Win­ston for her; Cartier for him. Num­ber of guests: 450. Brides­maids: Two of Nyma’s old­est friends from nurs­ery school and her closet cousin made beau­ti­ful maids. Mu­sic: To truly cre­ate a fes­tive af­fair, the cou­ple hired the DJ from Dubai club Boudoir. First dance: Fly Me To The Moon, Frank Si­na­tra. Food: For the east­ern re­cep­tion at Mina Salaam the cou­ple opted for a more tra­di­tional menu mixed with Ara­bic dishes. For the western lunch re­cep­tion, a more Euro­pean buf­fet menu was cho­sen to tie in with the themes. Hon­ey­moon: The cou­ple jet­ted to Is­tan­bul, Turkey.
