S“Sagar and I met in Dubai about eight years ago through mutual friends. He is a private equity fund manager and I am a private banker. There was an instant spark between us. But neither of us wanted to admit it just yet. Our friends played their part in helping us get together. It wasn’t easy convincing our parents to agree to our marriage, due to the cultural differences, but eventually, everything fell beautifully into place. Sagar’s proposal was straight out of a fairytale. He booked us a table at the fancy Park Chinois restaurant in London where he surprised me with a private table set with roses, cake and the ring! When we were scouting for locations, we both fell in love with the magical Alila Diwa in Goa and decided to get married there. The pheras on the luxuriously landscaped lawns and the party by the pool was exactly what we wanted. The team at Alila Diwa took great care in ensuring the day went off without a single hitch, while the chef put together a massive and extremely sumptuous banquet.”
