GROOMING
Give yourself a facial in four simple steps
Cleansing
An emollient/ milky cleanser in the morning will have soothing properties to emulsify and clean the skin gently. In the evenings, use an AHA and BHA cleanser, as these contain fruit acids to help remove the dirt and grime that will build up over the day.
Exfoliating
Invest in a good exfoliator, as it’s important to keep skin turning over and take away dead skin, and this will keep skin looking fresh, hydrated and glowing.
Toning
For acne- prone skins, use toners that have salicylic acid and antiinflammatories, as these help with redness and kill bacteria. For other skin types, toners that have peptides and Vitamin C can help brighten the skin, remove grease, and restore skin’s PH balance.
Moisturising
Use an antioxidant, such as Vitamin C E peptide, to protect the skin against free radical damage and give it a nice glow. Finish with a moisturiser sunblock. In the evening, use a retinoic acid that has a skin- peeling effect, and perhaps a heavier night cream.
