Only 918 of these supercars have rolled off the production line so far, and the hefty Dhs3,5000,000 price tag hasn’t stopped it being a sell- out ( although it’s rumoured one of the big chiefs at the carmaker has bought a fair number of them). Powered by a 4.6l, V8 engine, it has a top speed of 340km/ h and the battery can be recharged with only two litres of fuel. During initial testing the 918 recorded a lap time of less than seven minutes around the 20.6km- long Nurburgring Nordschleife. It shaved 17 seconds off the record for street- legal cars driving the track.
