The 70s vibe continues into the new season, with the fashion world thoroughly swayed (or should that be suede?) by updated versions of our favourite nostalgic fabric.

Christopher Bailey brought us a Woodstock-worthy show for Burberry Prorsum – including the hero piece; a suede fringe-layered cape – and Italian footwear king Gianvito Rossi taught us that patchwork isn’t just for hippies and quilts with his sliced and diced statement shoes.

J.W. Anderson offered napped leather in the softest shade of pink, while Isabel Marant’s spin, featuring intricate embroidery, was folksy rather than glam.
