02 Profusion of grand eur Too much is never enough at Palazzo Versace – a hotel that pretty much slaps you with its version of high-octane luxury as you step out of the taxi and are ushered into the stately lobby. The 16th century Italian palace aesthetic is realised in furnishings that could easily serve as props for a period film, while shafts of Dubai’s sunlight glistens on the gilded columns. 03 Thegoodlife Palazzo Versace is very much a character hotel embodied in full spirit–luckily its Dubai Creek location means you’ll want to spend whole days on the ground as there’s not much around drawing you elsewhere. We highly recommend coming for a weekend to do nothing but channel your inner Donatella with a cappuccino on the terrace, absorbing the minutia of life and feeling super fancy about it.

04 Decadentdining The décor is as much a part of the dining experience as the food, whichever outlet you dine at Palazzo Versace. The table settings are decked out in the Versace emblem – honestly, there’s not one salt and pepper shaker or side plate without it – and the chandeliers are the stars of the show.
