Five reasons to visit: Palazzo Versace Dubai

This palace of a property offers a luxurious, larger-than-life experience to make you feel like the queen that you are. Pack your crown

01 Lapsofluxury A turquoise-hued pool is never lost on us. The hotel has not one but two starry pools (it’s too hard to choose our favourite) named Portofino and Capri, two Italian destinations that evoke much summertime dreaminess. They’re both large enough to feel like you’ve got a lot of swimming space all to yourself to compose your best Slim Aarons moment by the pool. No filter required either.

02 Profusion of grand eur Too much is never enough at Palazzo Versace – a hotel that pretty much slaps you with its version of high-octane luxury as you step out of the taxi and are ushered into the stately lobby. The 16th century Italian palace aesthetic is realised in furnishings that could easily serve as props for a period film, while shafts of Dubai’s sunlight glistens on the gilded columns. You’ re totally transported here.

03 Thegoodlife Palazzo Versace is very much a character hotel embodied in full spirit–luckily its Dubai Creek location means you’ll want to spend whole days on the ground as there’s not much around drawing you elsewhere. We highly recommend coming for a weekend to do nothing but channel your inner Donatella with a cappuccino on the terrace, absorbing the minutia of life and feeling super fancy about it.

04 Decadentdining The décor is as much a part of the dining experience as the food, whichever outlet you dine at Palazzo Versace. The table settings are decked out in the Versace emblem – honestly, there’s not one salt and pepper shaker or side plate without it – and the chandeliers are the stars of the show. Vanitas is our pick for an Italian meal (with its all-Italian staff) served with a delicious scoopofdolcevita.

05 Beautysleep You’ll be in absolute heaven on your plush bed – mostly because the high ceilings give an impression of an other-worldly place, giving you the sweetest shut-eye. It feels like a cross between a duchess's court and a Palm Springs duplex. If you’re into your bathrooms, and have the same level of marblelove as we do, you’ll spend most of your time bubbled up in the tub with your La Bot te ga toiletries.
