A first for Fendi

The Dubai Mall opening of the new Fendi boutique will mark the first time Fendi Couture has been exhibited In-store through one-on-one appointments with an exhibit of seven key looks from the A/W 2018-2019 collection. Inspired by modern femininity creative director Karl Lagerfeld chose a colour palette of pale pink, nudes beige and lilacs, complemented by super light constructions and feather-weight materials. The collection see san intriguing play of illusions as fur is juxtaposed to natural materials that employ its textures and light effects as the house embraced an experimental attitude and an innovative vision. Sequins are embroidered to felted fabric to give a fur like look while shearling gets a Persian lamb or shaved mink effect. It’s also the first time the Fendi couture collection welcomes skirt suits featuring fitted jackets embellished with patent leather and feather collars. Ball gowns and dresses are regal in nature with cagelike waist detailing while the accessories embrace an edgy and architectural-like design through sculptural heels and precious Minaudière clutch bags featuring a decò twist. The collection provides the perfect infusion of innovation and artisanal tradition. Fendi A/W Couture is exhibited in store through one-on-one appointments at the Fendi boutique in The Dubai Mall
