10 MINUTE SKIN DETOX

I once found out that Miranda Kerr swore by cucumbers for perfect skin so I had to try it because her skin is absolutely flawless. All she does is apply cucumber slices all over her face. She lets them sit on the surface of her skin for 10 minutes and then removes them. All you need to do is splash your face with water and moisturise for extra hydration as you normally would. This is seriously an amazing way to help absorb any impurities and give your skin a natural glow. I highly recommend this and it’s so cheap and easy.

MEDITATION

Stress can negatively affect your skin more than you probably think. It can lead to breakouts, premature aging and can leave your skin looking super dull. When you’re stressed your skin actually releases a hormone called cortisol, which can block the supply of oxygen to your skin, starving it of its nutrients. I really recommend meditating to correct this. It’s a great way to de-stress and give your skin the amount of oxygen it needs for the ultimate glow. I know it sounds crazy, but it really helps.

REASSESS YOUR DIET

Your diet is so important when it comes to your skin. If you’re looking to detox your skin, you should start with what you’re eating first. There are certain foods that help your skin more than others. I always recommend working the following foods into your diet if you’re looking for that healthy glow: celery, green tea, avocado, dates, lemon, chia seeds, acai, salmon, ginger, bone broth, garlic, dark chocolate, kale, berries, walnuts. They all do a little something different for your skin so I would recommend identifying what you’re trying to correct so you can figure out what foods you need to incorporate into your diet to get the right results.

HYALURONICACID

The ultimate ingredient for skin hydration. It can hold 1,000 times its weight in water, and draws water into your skin giving you the most natural, hydrated glow. I live for formulas that contain this acid and it’s the perfect step before moisturising.

CASTOROIL

I absolutely love castor oil and it definitely helps detoxify your skin cells. It pulls out any impurities and helps give you acne-free skin. It’s also been proven to firm up the skin leaving you wrinkle-free. All I do is rub it on my skin before jumping in the sauna or a hot shower, allowing the steam in before washing it off. Your skin will feel so renewed and refreshed.
