Q&A WITH KARL WARNER AT PASTELS SALON, DUBAI

-

When do you think you would rock this look? Both of these are evening looks

or styles you would wear when going out for dinner – they are definitely not work looks.

Styling hair can be tricky, do you have any top hints and tricks for flawless hair? Having an armoury of professionally

recommended products is key to styling hair, along with good tools. It is also important to take the time to practice how to do your hair and create the styles that you would like to wear.

How often should us ladies be tending to our hair? In terms of a cut, it should

be every six to eight weeks with at-home treatments happening once a week. For colour, depending on the style and shade, it can be anything from six to 10 weeks, but to keep it looking its best make sure you do weekly at-home treatments. What is your favourite hairstyle? I don’t really have a go-to favourite. Rather I want to offer each of my clients something that will suit their features, sense of style and lifestyle. A hairstyle should make someone look and feel great.

As you are the hairdresser to most of the fashion girls in Dubai, what would you say is their go-to look when they sit in your chair? No matter who sits in my

chair, everyone wants the same thing – beautiful hair. That is all I am ever asked to create, really. Everyone wants to have their best possible hair and depending on who the client is, it will be created by a good cut, colour or by the placement of extensions. Together we will decide on a plan and then I will make it happen for my client, but it’s important for her to maintain it with regular salon visits and a good at-home haircare regime featuring professional products and treatments.
