THE GREAT BRITISH ADVENTURE

- WORDS: DIANA BELL-HEATHER

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and what better way to spend some quality family time than in the arms of the picturesque British countryside? All you need is a GPS, variety of snacks, a great playlist, personal essentials, and of course transportation, to get you from A to B. When it comes to picking the perfect family car, we don’t believe in compromising on style in return for comfort. We would rather have plush seating and a chic set of wheels all in one, and lucky for us, the Audi A7 Sportback offers just that.

The four-door coupe embodies a new style of Gran Turismo, with dynamic lines, systematic digitalization, a sporty driving experience and a versatile space concept. You also have more room, especially at the back, than in the previous model so the whole family can enjoy a comfortable ride with a view.

Long-haul drives can be exhausting, but the Audi A7 keeps safety as priority number one with its comprehensive connectivity which is perfectly equipped for long-distance touring. It also offers customers more convenience, safety and customisation options.

Set to drive, relax and let us take you on a family journey like no other.

STOP 1 LONDON

You can spend weeks enjoying the vibrant capital, but if you only have one or two days to spare than we suggest making a beeline for Buckingham Palace, Downing Street, Harrods, and the Southbank – all within easy walking distance of one another.

STOP 2 BATH

Before heading into the only destination in the UK to have the whole city designated as a World Heritage site by UNESCO make a slight detour towards the mysterious structure of Stonehenge. In Bath you have to check out the Roman Baths that date back to approximately 60AD. Book nerds will love visiting the Jane Austen Centre in town.

STOP 3 THE COTSWOLDS

Loved by the British elite and celebrities who want to escape the flashing lights of the city, the Cotswolds has become a luxurious escape for urban dwellers. Make sure to explore the village of Bibury that was once described by William Morris as 'the most beautiful village in the Cotswolds', as well as Bourton-onthe-Water that is frequently referred to as the "Venice of the Cotswolds" due to the River Windrush that runs right through the centre.

STOP 4 LAKE DISTRICT

The drive to the Lake District National Park will see you zoom through Oxford and Stratford upon Avon. We recommend to give yourself some time to explore the birthplace of William Shakespeare and grab some lunch before continuing towards Windermere. If there is one place that can be described as a real life fairytale, it’s the Lake District. Covering a total area of just over 885 square miles that houses lakes, valleys, woodlands and fells, it is one of the best places to embrace the unrivaled beauty of the English countryside.

STOP 5 YORK

Your final stop is a town that is considered the most beautiful town in England. There you can dive back into the history of the Vikings as you walk through the ancient city’s small and atmospheric streets and sights including a tour York Minister, the largest gothic cathedral in Northern Europe and Jorvik Viking Centre.

Take your family on an idyllic road trip through the English countryside in the luxurious comfort of an Audi A7 Sportback
