BLACK TIE

Let GIORGIO ARMANI be your wingman this party season

Esquire Middle East - - IN THIS ISSUE THE EDIT -

When it comes to formal suiting this month, it’s hard to look past Armani

Everythursday night, the great, the good and the genetically-blessed of Milan (so, most of them then) descend on the Armani/privé Club for a “members only” evening that has become an exclusive, seductively-lit fixture within the city’s high-end social calendar.

Inspired by the earlyhours ebb and flow of his own Rsvp-only Shangri-la, Giorgio Armani’s latest capsule collection is not only a celebration of beautiful Italian eveningwear — midnight blue jacquard blazers, patent leather loafers, pristine white cottontwill shirting and immaculate textures — but also a demonstration in alternative black tie. Both are perfect for late nights out on the rarefied tiles of Italy’s capitale della moda, and beyond.

Black checked wool-mix blazer, AED9,000; black pleated wool-mix trousers, AED3,000, both by Giorgio Armani. Black merino wool roll-neck, AED750, by John Smedley Midnight blue jacquard blazer, AED9,000; white cotton shirt, AED2,550; black velvet bow tie, AED700; midnight blue woolmix suit trousers, AED3,750
