Sharjah has culinary delights to tempt you
FEW PEOPLE TRAVEL TO SHARJAH for their cultural culinary fix, but those who do tend to turn over the occasional hidden gem that has the rest of us staring on in envy (and hunger). From our last foray into the ‘cultural emirate’ we came across Sand, a rather delightful place where the food tastes as good as it looks—which is to say, very. Top of mind is this gooey boat-shaped plate of deliciousness. On the menu it is known as Adjarian Khachapuri—named in homage to the traditional Georgian dish—but we just call it “two more of these, please” for short.
