Former Idama and QBG head joins Al Bonian FM
Regional FM veteran Tony Martin will lead the company as CEO as it aimsto grow its portfolio of specialised services
Al Bonian Facilities Management Services has appointed Tony Martin as its chief executive officer. Martin has more than 25 years’ experience in the FM sector, 10 of which have been in the Middle East.
Martin has previously worked with QBG FM and Idama Facilities Management, and has specialised in a diverse range of contract types including golf courses, sports stadiums, schools, commercial and residential tower, hospitals and banks.
Martin began his regional stint back in 2008 when he was appointed as the division manager of BK Gulf in 2008. His initial task was to mobilise the hard services FM delivery team for Atlantis the Palm Resort and leading the division through a turbulent economic period.
In his new role, Martin will focus on providing a diverse set of FM solution for clients, specifically hard FM services.
Martin said on his appointment: “I’m excited about the challenge offered to make Al Bonian FMS one of the leading providers of FM Solutions in the market. Having worked in the region for more than decade in senior roles, I am aware of the gaps in FM delivery and what needs to be offered to existing and potential clients for them to then continue with or choose us as their preferred FM of choice.”
He also revealed that the company is currently in the process of “positive changes”, which will become evident in the coming months. Armed with a new vision and mission Al Bonian FM is also set to unveil a refreshed corporate branding. Martin also said that company will bolster its credibility by completing its ISO 41001 FM accreditation.
