No ‘crim­i­nal sus­pi­cion’ recorded for fire in Saudi’s Dam­mam

large fire broke out at Saudi Ara­bia’s gen­eral pros­e­cu­tion build­ing in Dam­mam on 2 Septem­ber, ac­cord­ing to the king­dom’s press agency (SPA). The Dam­mam branch blaze, ac­cord­ing to SPA, did not cause any hu­man or data loss, with a source at the gen­eral pros­e­cu­tion head­quar­ters in Riyadh stat­ing that the elec­tronic sys­tem au­to­mat­i­cally saves copies of all doc­u­ments and data.

The source added that no crim­i­nal sus­pi­cion had been recorded re­gard­ing the Dam­mam branch build­ing’s fire, which broke out af­ter a tech­ni­cal fault with “con­di­tion­ing ma­chines” in­stalled on the up­per floor, SPA re­ported.
