Ras Al Khaimah Municipality becomes the first government entity in the emirate to achieve ISO 50001 energy management certification

Ras Al Khaimah Municipality has achieved the ISO 50001 certification in recognition of its best practices in energy management. H.E. Munther Mohammed bin Shekar, Director General of RAK Municipality received the certificate from Michael Weppler, executive VP – Sales, Marketing & Communication of TÜV Rheinland.

The certification acknowledges the energy management activities of RAK Municipality such as the retrofit of some of its buildings and renewable energy generation from its solar carpark installation.
