Ta­her made his­tory in 2005 when she be­came one of the first Saudi women to win elected of­fice in Saudi Ara­bia as a board mem­ber of the Jed­dah Cham­ber of Com­merce and In­dus­try. Seven years later, in 2012, she was the first Arab busi­ness­woman to re­ceive The World Cus­toms Award in recog­ni­tion of her ef­forts in the com­mer­cial man­age­ment sec­tor and for fight­ing com­mer­cial fraud. To­day she is a board mem­ber at the Al Ta­her Group of Com­pa­nies, which was founded by her fa­ther Dr Abdulhadi Ta­her in 1975. She has a bach­e­lor’s de­gree in ac­count­ing and stud­ied busi­ness ad­min­is­tra­tion in the U.S.
