G20 countries represent over 80% of the world’s GDP, 75% of global trade and around twothirds of the world's population.

The 19 member countries (excluding the EU) had a combined GDP of $68.6 trillion in 2019.

The world's total GDP is $87.5 trillion, according to IMF data.

According to the UN, the total population of the G20 member states was estimated at 4.6 billion in 2019, which is 60% of the world's total population of 7.7 billion.

Non-member countries are also invited to participat­e. Spain has a permanent invite to the G20 meetings as a guest. In 2020, Jordan, Singapore, and Switzerlan­d will also attend as guests.
