Bennett’s hit single “Supalonely,” which was released in December 2019, racked up more than 2.5 billion streams worldwide. The New Zealand singer-songwriter, who goes by the nickname Benee (pronounced Benny), uploaded the song to YouTube in February 2020 where it garnered over 200 million views. “Supalonely” went viral on TikTok after Charli D’Amelio, one of the most-followed influencers on the channel, made a video to the song. In October, Bennett announced she is launching her own women-run record label, Olive. A month later, she released her debut album “Hey U X,” which features collaborations with Flo Milli and Grimes, among others.
