Unite With Tomorrowland, the spin-off event of the iconic electronic music festival Tomorrowland, is coming to Dubai Festival City on July 29 (above). The event will recreate the festival’s party experience across the world for those who can’t make it to the actual event in Boom, Belgium, by relaying the performances of KSHMR, Armin Van Buuren and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike through a live satellite connection while DJs Martin Solveig, Franky Rizardo, Tom Swoon, Ferreck Dawn and Barry Fore will perform in person in Dubai. Tickets from Dh490; 2pm-3am. Call 04 4573212.
Seeking something with a regional flavour? WASLA, the Arabic alternative music festival, is back for a second run at ON42 at Media One Hotel, Dubai, on July 27. The fest’s summer edition is bringing in up-and-coming musical acts from across the region – you’ll be rocking to Algerian rock band Speed Caravan, Fulltone from Egypt (below) and the UAE’s very own experimental fusion group NOON. From 8pm-3am; tickets Dh100 at platinumlist.net.
Halloween is a long way away but it’s never too early to plan your costume when it’s Nick Jonas (above) that you’re off to meet – the pop singer known for hits like Jealous and Chains will be one of the acts at the second edition of Fiesta De Los Muertos, the Halloween music festival on October 27. The festival’s return will also see a performance by virtual British band Gorillaz (left), Canadian RnB singer Massari and Mexican band The Mariachis. From Dh350; visit 117live.com.
