STARGAZING

- Shelley von Strunckel, one of the world’s top astrologers, writes a weekly forecast for Friday

Your stars for the week ahead.

Some say Aquarius is the most inquisitive sign of the zodiac. Being an air sign, and fascinated by everything and everybody in your life, and world, you’re always more up to date than anybody else. However, the events in the run up to the powerful eclipsed Full Moon in your sign, on the 15th, could surprise even you. Still, explore absolutely everything. You won’t regret it.

PISCES FEBRUARY 18 – MARCH 19

Periods of unsettling change, such as this, rouse complaints, often because events are forcing others to alter familiar habits. Be wary of reassuring others about this. The fact is, everybody, including you, is facing similarly disruptive events, most of which will ultimately be of huge benefit. Focus on exploring these, solo and with others, and allow those who’re determined to moan to do it on their own.

ARIES MARCH 20 – APRIL 19

Of the 12 signs, you’re most easygoing about sudden change. Yet even you could become short-tempered about the changes triggered by eclipses on 31 January and 15 February. Still, resist the temptation to battle these. Instead, use them as a springboard to explore the new ideas being introduced. Once you’ve learnt more, you’ll exchange your irritation for enthusiasm about what these are introducing.

TAURUS APRIL 20 – MAY 20

As a Taurus and somebody ruled by the gracious Venus, you pride yourself on your ability to manoeuvre around even tricky issues diplomatically. However, these need to be addressed. Leave out even minor details now and there’ll be complications, probably soon. Bizarrely, what you learn in the process will highlight undiscovered but pivotal issues, ones you’ll be relieved that you’ve spotted.

GEMINI MAY 21 – JUNE 20

While you’ve both dealt with and learnt a lot from confronting various of the past weeks’ practical and financial issues, you’ll be relieved that cycle is ending. Better yet, with both the Sun and your ruler Mercury accenting ways you can broaden your horizons, life is about to get a lot more interesting. For now, focus on exploring everything that comes your way. Decisions can wait.

CANCER JUNE 21 – JULY 21

Unsettling events involving your finances or work may seem unappealing. But they’re leading to much needed changes, if in a very different form than you’d anticipated or perhaps, imagined possible. If there’s any challenge, it’s that, by midmonth, you’ll be short of facts. Knowing that, focus on decluttering existing arrangements and learning as much as possible about what’s unfolding. This will come together, but only gradually.

LEO JULY 22 – AUGUST 22

The eclipsed Full Moon on 31 January triggered shakeups for everybody. But because it was in Leo, events will have raised numerous personal questions. Some will require no more than a quick conversation, but a few are forcing you to delve into issues or explore options you’ve been ignoring. Once you begin, you’ll be surprised how well prepared you are to plunge into even unsettling changes.

VIRGO AUGUST 23 – SEPTEMBER 22

With the Sun and your ruler Mercury both accenting everything, you’re tempted to do a major rethink. Don’t. With eclipses on 31 January and 15 February triggering timely if unsettling shakeups, instead declutter existing arrangements, especially those that are increasingly unworkable. Letting them go enables you to focus on the rather exciting ideas and offers coming your way.

LIBRA SEPTEMBER 23 – OCTOBER 22

As a diplomatic Libra, you’re adept at helping others weather tricky situations without getting bogged down in their dramas yourself. Yet now, you’re facing exactly that or, alternatively, wrestling with very tricky personal issues. Whatever the case, for now do no more than acknowledge these, then back off. That may seem a compromise. However, within days you’ll realise how wise a strategy that was.

SCORPIO OCTOBER 23 – NOVEMBER 21

Last October, the fortunate Jupiter moved into Scorpio, triggering a cycle of growth, personally and in terms of your life and world. Hopefully you’ve already learnt to recognise sudden and, often, unsettling changes as part of this process. If so, instead of battling the coming weeks’ unexpected events you will, at minimum, explore them with interest. Better yet, you’ll embrace them with enthusiasm.

SAGITTARIUS NOVEMBER 22 – DECEMBER 20

Usually you’ve no problem making decisions and, so, ordinarily, would welcome the influence of edgy Mars in Sagittarius. Yet you rightly sense the basis on which certain pivotal plans would be based is shifting and are seeking serious facts. There’s no doubt that’s the best strategy. Even more important, what you learn will introduce you to ideas and options that, otherwise, you’d have bypassed.

CAPRICORN DECEMBER 21 – JANUARY 19

No matter how much investigation and thought you invest in trying to second-guess what eclipses on January 31 and February 15 will trigger, in the world around you and in your own life, these are about breakthroughs. Which means instead of guessing what’s coming, you’re better off considering which arrangements are a struggle and need change if not, perhaps, to go. The timing is perfect.
