Lock Stock and Barrel at JBR The Walk are hosting the block party to end all block parties from 6pm today. The Lip Smacking Music Festival will rock out with some music by internatio­nal bands Pop Gun and Big Mouth and unlimited, free finger bites – think lamb koftas, deep-fried Mars bars and sliders. Doors open 4pm and music starts at 6pm. Free entry.

Internatio­nal party brand All Day I Dream is bringing its house and techno magic to the UAE tomorrow at Blue Marlin Ibiza UAE. Originally from the hipster hub of Brooklyn, New York, the party is known for its hypnotic lights and colours and chilled-out vibe. The Arts Centre at NYU Abu Dhabi becomes a haven of classical music as a part of the Abu Dhabi Classics concert season. South Korean concert pianist Seong-Jin Cho (top right) will tinkle the ivories into beautiful sonatas by Beethoven, Debussy and Chopin on February 7. On February 8, Seong-Jin will perform at Qasr Al Sarab Resort by Anantara; you can immerse yourself in the haunting melodies of Beethoven in a concert venue located in the Empty Quarter desert. Infuse some One Love into your week at the Bob Marley Festival on February 9 at Yas Beach. The fifth edition of the reggae fest celebrates the legendary musician’s 73rd birth anniversar­y with performanc­es by Ky-Mani Marley (above right), one of Bob Marley’s sons, and Jamaican dancehall artist Busy Signal. There’ll be food trucks, Bob Marley memorabili­a to shop and art to browse at the ARTE The Makers’ Market. RedFest DXB, the annual music festival, is back at Dubai Media City Amphitheat­re on February 8 and 9 for its fifth edition; headliners include Kesha, Craig David (above), The Chainsmoke­rs and Bebe Rexha. Tickets from Dh395 at redfestdxb.com.

Ward off Monday blues with some Latin Jazz at The Fridge, Alserkal Avenue, where Cuban flautist Malena Avila is performing on February 5.
