YAS WA­TER­WORLD

The Abu Dhabi water­park’s an­nual Dana’s Spooktacular is back to­day from 10am-10pm. The pi­rate-themed fes­tiv­i­ties will be re­plete with a Pi­rates Candy Cove. There’s also a cos­tume pa­rade (so dust out that Cap­tain Hook out­fit) and hunt for sweets at the Trick or Treat Wharf, spooky snacks at the Shiver Me Tim­bers Buf­fet, and a Pi­rate Univer­sity, where young swash­buck­lers can learn to per­fect men­ac­ing ‘Ar­rrrs’. THE SMASH ROOM

Time to star in your own Smasher flick. The rage room in Al Quoz (top) trans­forms into a house of hor­rors for Hal­loween. Wind your way through a maze of night­mar­ish clowns and ter­ri­fy­ing mon­sters to find the space you can de­mol­ish. AT­LANTIS, THE PALM

The fear fac­tor is high at At­lantis, The Palm. The haunting gets se­ri­ous on Wed­nes­day, Oc­to­ber 31 when fam­i­lies step into The Lost Cham­bers Aquar­ium, which will trans­form into un­der­wa­ter haunted cham­bers from 7pm–9pm. The brave can wade through fog-filled, scary dec­o­ra­tions and play es­cape games and more. Grand prizes will be handed out for the best cos­tumes. COUNT­DOWN CHAL­LENGE

This JBR es­cape room has two spe­cial chal­lenges crafted for Hal­loween. Sign up for the Es­cape Plan as well as The Base­ment chal­lenges and you’ll find your­self lost in a series of rooms rac­ing against time to stay ahead of mur­der­ous strangers thwart­ing your at­tempts to flee as you crack clues, and your fears. TUB OF BUT­TER

There is safety in num­bers, espe­cially when you’re watch­ing a hor­ror film – dare to scare your­self silly watch­ing scary movies with a bunch of peo­ple at SZR eatery Tub of But­ter’s Pizza and Hor­ror movie night to­mor­row. From 6pm master mak­ing a pizza, then set­tle down to nosh on your hand­i­work and watch a hor­ror film at 7pm. You won’t have to pause the film mid­way to an­swer the door for the de­liv­ery guy. On Oc­to­ber 31 IMG Worlds of Ad­ven­ture will recre­ate that zom­bie apoc­a­lypse with their an­nual Fes­ti­val of Fright (left). The walk­ing dead will roam around the park while you en­joy other ac­tiv­i­ties like a DJ bat­tle, dance bat­tle, live mu­sic, a haunted maze, as well as all of the the­mepark’s 22 ad­ven­tur­ous rides. LA VILLE HO­TEL & SUITES, CITY WALK

There’s no talk­ing Great Dane or the mys­tery ma­chine but the bou­tique ho­tel’s Hal­loween trea­sure hunt is an op­por­tu­nity to live your Scooby Doo fan­tasies. La Ville has part­nered with Es­cape Hunt Dubai to spirit you away with an en­gross­ing mys­tery on Oc­to­ber 31 that in­volves track­ing down a ghost’s heir to his for­got­ten trea­sure from 5pm-10pm.
