Add some colour to your life this coming week by heading out to one of the many events happening around the country celebratin­g Holi, the Indian festival of colours, which falls on March 20.

Holi Masti event, Al Sahra Desert Resort Equestrian: Bollywood singer Neha Kakkar (right) is headlining the festivitie­s with her repertoire of energetic hits such as Kala Chashma, London Thumkada, Kar Gayee Chull that crowds can dance away to at the day-long family event. She’ll be joined on stage by DJs Pierre Ferns, Ricky, Chirag, Praveen Nair and Essam. There’ll be a separate kids’ area, food and beverages stalls and much more at the venue, plus only organic colours will be used. Tickets from Dh99 at platinumli­st.net. Event starts at 10.30am.

Holi Celebratio­n at Bollywood Parks, Dubai: At the Bollywoodt­hemed park, singer Falguni Pathak (far right) will take centre stage today as part of Holi celebratio­ns, belting out hit pop songs and soundtrack­s from Bollywood films. Composer Avadhoot Gupte (top centre) will also be performing alongside. The event will also feature special stalls with Holi colours, live entertainm­ent acts and delicious food. Holi Beach Party, Jebel Ali Beach Club: Sun, surf and sand will get a colourful makeover on March 22 at this beachside party. There’ll be music by Dj LIJO, DJ Jeff, DJ Buddha and more and food stalls. Kids aged under five years get free entry. From 11am; tickets from Dh100 per person at virginmega­store.me.

AKS Color Carnival Ultimate Holi Experience, Rugby Park, Dubai Sports City: The third edition of this annual Holi party kicks off at the Rugby Park on March 22 with carnival acts, dhol players, live performanc­e by MashUp Diaries and music by DJs Beatz, Gautam, Manoj, Nitesh and Carlos. After you’re all danced out, fuel up at the food trucks. Tickets Dh45 per person at platinumli­st. net and free entry for kids under four years. From 11am-8pm.

Rang Day 2019, Wonderland Dubai: This is the only time pouring cold water on your Holi plans is going to make it brighter and better – the only wet Holi event is befittingl­y happening in Wonderland waterpark on March 22. So bring your arsenal of water guns and water balloons. Bollywood singers Shalmali Kholgade (top right), Nakash Aziz, Manj Musik and Nindy Kaur will be performing along with strong Dubai-based band ROOH, DJs Shadow Dubai Emwee. From 10am-6pm; kids aged 12 and below enter free. Tickets Dh45 per person on platinumli­st.net.
