1. Be honest. If you are honest to your clients, employees and vendors, you will succeed.

2. As an entrepreneur, don’t chase funding, capital and headlines. Chase your dreams.

3. If you want to do something, stop looking for excuses on why those cannot happen. Start looking for reasons as to why they can happen.

4. You have to keep evolving your business into what the world requires. Keep up with the times. For instance, the idea you have been working on for the last five years may not be the thing people want today. It may have worked very well earlier and gone on to become a success. But you cannot rest on your laurels. Think of Blackberry, Nokia, Kodak... They got shunted out because they failed to evolve.

5. Keep planning for the future; spot trends, understand where the world is going and accordingly change your business or even the way you work.
