INGREDIENT­S

100g each, cashew nuts and castor sugar

1 tsp corn flour

1/2 tsp rose essence

1 leaf silver foil, for decoration

METHOD

Soak cashew nuts in water for about two hours. Remove, drain and grind cashew nuts to a fine paste. Take care to use as little water as possible. Meanwhile, prepare a greased marble or wooden surface.

Remove cashew mixture from grinder, mix in sugar and cook the mixture on medium flame in a wok. When the mixture thickens, reduce heat but keep stirring.

When the mixture begins to come away from the sides of the wok (it should take 8-10 minutes), add the corn flour. Continue to keep stirring well and remove from heat. Mix in rose essence and mix well. Now, quickly spoon the mixture onto the prepared greased marble or wooden surface.

Roll out to 2-cm thin sheet with a greased roller. Spread silver foil over it and cut into katlis.
