HAPPILY EVER OLA

OLA FARAHAT SHARES HER EMOTIONAL JOURNEY TO THE BEACH WEDDING OF HER DREAMS WITH GRAZIA

Grazia Middle East - - THE HOT STORIES -

“WE WANTED TO FOCUS ON LOVE,” Grazia Style Award Insta-Star winner and cover girl Ola Farahat reveals of her beach wedding to Hashim Hashim. “We made sure the wedding was relaxed, flowy, and easy – that’s what love should be.” On 21 December 2018, 135 of the couple’s closest family and most fashionable friends gathered at Nikki Beach Resort & Spa Dubai for a stunning sunset ceremony.

Ola wore a bespoke bridal gown by Lebanese couturier Nicolas Jebran, but there was no way the influencer was going to be an ordinary bride. “I asked for McDonalds moments before walking down the aisle because I got so nervous!” she confesses. “I devoured my cheeseburger and fries in literally three minutes,” she adds, sharing a snap with Grazia munching her takeaway in a tiara and tiered tulle to prove it. And instead of a speech, Maid of Honour Lucy Lascelles performed a gutsy renditon of the Etta James love song

At Last dedicated to the happy couple.

In an emotional address, Ola’s new husband Hashim beamed, “You look absolutely stunning today. I love you so much. I’m so happy to be married to such a beautiful and talented woman. I feel deeply privileged you’ve chosen to be my wife, and I’ll look forward to spending the rest of my life with you.”

He continued, “It means a great deal to both Ola and myself to have our two families coming together with friends old and new us for our special day. It’s very humbling to look around and see many people here who are all important to us.” Among the glamorous guests – who enjoyed a banquet of beet moutabel, mohamarah, stuffed vine leaves, chicken, lemon and olive tagine with almond couscous, Australian lamb cutlets, with seasonal grilled vegetables – were Natalia Shustova and Grazia Editor in Chief Alison Tay, while better-known bridesmaids included Deema Al Asadi, Fatema Almomen, and Rania Fawaz who were the last to leave the dance floor. Congrats, guys!
