DUBAI’S RòYA ANNOUNCES TOPPING OUT OF STU­DIO CITY’S FIRST HOTEL

CON­SUL­TANCY RòYA has an­nounced the topping out of the first hotel in Dubai’s Stu­dio City.

The four-star prop­erty is due to open to guests in the fourth quar­ter of the year, the Dubaibased firm said.

It fea­tures 141 rooms, short stay studios and ex­tended stay res­i­den­tial ac­com­mo­da­tion along­side a mix­ture of res­tau­rants rang­ing from lounges to ca­sual and fam­ily dining con­cepts.

Other el­e­ments in­clude a grey wa­ter re­cy­cling sys­tem and low en­ergy con­sump­tion plan.

Roya’s af­fil­i­ate RPM has been ap­pointed as pro­ject man­ager on top of the ad­vi­sory ser­vices the firm is pro­vid­ing un­til the hotel’s in­au­gu­ra­tion.

Government free zone op­er­a­tor TECOM opened Dubai Stu­dio City in 2005. It is home to 275 com­pa­nies with a par­tic­u­lar fo­cus on broad­cast­ing, film pro­duc­tion, TV, mu­sic and en­ter­tain­ment.
