After parting ways with his brother in 2002, Suhail Bahwan launched his own group. Today, the octogenarian businessman is the chairman of one of Oman’s biggest conglomerates.
His eponymous group has businesses spanning healthcare, lifestyle, engineering and infrastructure and logistics, though the chairman passed on most of the managerial duties to his daughter Amal a few years ago. The company operates with over 7,000 employees according to its website.
