FNC to review curricula and education policies
Dr Amal: Law on tourism council under study
Members of the Federal National Council will question Dr Hanif Hassan, Minister of Education, a house member told Gulf News yesterday.
Dr Amal Al Qubaisi, who is the head of the Youth, Information and Cultural Affairs Committee, said: “We will ask the minister about issues that have been a concern such as policies, the curriculum and infrastructure.”
Dr Amal also addressed the Shaikh Zayed Private Academy for Girls and said a draft law for the establishment of a National Council for Tourism and Antiquities is being reviewed by the council.
Dr Amal said being chosen as the first female elected Federal National Council (FNC) member from 100 candidates was one of the happiest moments in her life.
“In America and Europe it took women 100 years just to run in the elections ... for us to have women in the council in such a short period is a huge achievement,” she said.
