By the end of this year the free zone expects companies to employ 7,000 workers there, located next to Academic City off the Dubai-Al Ain Road. The free zone is an initiative of Tecom, which so far has invested $200 million in roads and infrastructure.

Eleven buildings have been completed so far and 70 companies have registered to build outsourcing stations on the three million-square-foot property, exceeding the free zone’s initial target of hosting 30 firms.
