Design Days Dubai to open on March 18

Design Days Dubai will be held from March 18- 21 as part of Art Week Dubai 2013. Design Days Dubai is the only design fair in the Middle East and South Asia, which brings the most exclusive selection of purchasable, limited- edition designs to the region.

Cyril Zammit, director of Design Days Dubai, said last year’s purchases were estimated at $ 3.5 million ( Dh12.85 million). He added that “design is a very safe investment” as it never loses value.

He added this is the first fair which will feature work from art fairs from six different continents. There will be 29 galleries, nine of which are from the Middle East. The prices, he said will range between $ 5,000- 500,000. There will also be live design performances at Design Days, which will be held at Downtown Dubai.
