STAR GAZING

World-renowned astrologer Shelley von Strunckel writes a daily column exclusively for tabloid!

Aries (March 20 – April 19)

There’s a difference between setbacks, of which you’ve faced many lately, and potential failures. As an Aries you refuse to even entertain that something isn’t going to work out until forced to. Still, in one particular situation you’re better off acknowledging it’s better to give in continuing to wage a futile battle.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20)

Although the recent New Moon took place a week ago you’re still trying to work out the direction and point of some of the changes it triggered. Because these are about a shift in perspective, this isn’t as much about thinking things through as allowing experience itself to be your guide.

Gemini (May 21 – June 20)

You don’t think of yourself as being intuitive, yet there are times when it seems you’re plugged in and can’t avoid picking up on the future. This is the case now. Which means that despite others’ anxiety about the current crop of unexpected events you’re confident that things will turn out brilliantly.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22)

It would be easy to misjudge sudden changes in longstanding plans as reason for concern. While it’s true, certain familiar arrangements are being reorganised, this is more because of growth and the process of rethinking things than anything to worry about. Better yet, those new developments are well on their way.

Leo (July 23 – August 22)

Being tough on loved ones doesn’t come naturally to most Leos. But recent events have made it clear one particular individual mistakenly believes you’re happy with their behaviour when actually it’s the reverse. They’re already aware there are tensions so won’t be surprised by what you have to say.

Virgo (August 23 – September 22)

You can’t plan ahead for the unexpected. Still, it’s worth bearing in mind that with the Virgo Full Moon shaking things up late next week, what seem straightforward situations could change if not transformed. Knowing that, organise things so that should you need to they can be easily rearranged.

Libra (September 23 – October 22)

Just when you were wondering if you’d get anything done this week, suddenly several rather tricky matters have come together all at once. You have the superb alignment between both your ruler Venus and Mars with practical Saturn. Those efforts you thought achieved little actually accomplished a great deal.

Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)

Living with tensions involving family or loved ones isn’t easy, but it’s part of life. While ordinarily you’re good at glossing over such matters, it’s becoming increasingly clear one particular issue needs to be talked through. And in detail. Forget about finding the right moment. There’s no better time than now.

Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)

If ever there was a time to believe in yourself it’s now. As a Sagittarius you’ve a powerful instinct about even seemingly unwise ideas or offers. Since that’s exactly what’s coming your way, think carefully before you seek others’ advice. Their instincts are unlikely to be as good as yours.

Capricorn (December 22 – January 19)

For ages you’ve known life would be better if you disentangled yourself from certain increasingly unrewarding arrangements and focused on those that hold greater promise. But you fear the complications such changes would trigger. Ironically everybody involved is eager to move on. You need only take that first step.

Aquarius (January 20 – February 17)

Welcome as the changes being ushered in by the coming weeks’ planetary activity may be, some are bound to be disruptive. While ordinarily you’d gather as much information as possible about these, then try to organise things, it would be premature. There’s more to come and a lot more to learn.

Pisces (February 18 – March 19)

One of the best features of this remarkable period is the changes that influence everybody and eliminate the need to struggle with old and unworkable situations. Yet you could still be tempted to remedy them. Don’t. These have outlived their time. Say farewell and let them become part of the past.
