Alfonso and Mohan steal the show in Oman

Maxtalent return rich in experience after playing in three age category tournament­s

Maxtalent Global Sports team members have returned after a weeklong cricket tour of Oman with flying colours. The star performers of the tour were Colin Alfonso and Sairam Mohan who scored consistent­ly in almost every match of the tour.

Maxtalent competed in the MGS — MCCC Challenge Cup (Muscat Edition) in the Boys Under-11 category organised under the aegis of Oman Cricket Council.

They also played in the Under-13 and Under-16 tournament­s against talented cricketers in Oman.

In the Under-11 age category, Maxtalent Global emerged runners up with Indian School Muscat being crowned winners.

The stylish Sairam Mohan piled up 222 runs in the tournament with two 50plus scores and two scores of above 40.

Another star performer was Colin Alfonso, who scored one half-century and one 40plus runs in the tournament. Incidental­ly, this pair put on a partnershi­p of over 100 runs in two matches guiding Maxtalent to victories. Archit Rajesh, Ruhan Israni, Sankalp Sunod also contribute­d with the bat in crucial situations during various matches.

Standout performer

The standout performer with the ball was the 10-yearold diminutive medium pacer Eshan Nair who was on a hat trick for a remarkable two times in the tournament. One of his near hat-tricks was in a match where Maxtalent Global Sports won by three runs against Boscher Olympic Center to clinch a spot in the finals.

With 9 wickets in the tournament Eshan Nair was a breakthrou­gh bowler for Maxtalent Global Sports along with the left arm spinner Colin Alfonso.
