Father’s Day is big in Bollywood
Celebrities post heartfelt messages to honour their heroes
Actors Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and filmmaker Karan Johar took to Twitter to remember their first heroes, on Father’s Day, yesterday.
Bachchan shared a picture of himself, his father Harivansh Rai Bachchan, his son Abhishek and his granddaughter Aaradhya.
Salman Khan tweeted a shirtless picture of him, his father Salim and brother Sohail.
“My dad strongest. Salim khan (dullu) urff prince Saleem, the original bajrangi bhaijaan [strongly built man], happy father’s day daddy,” the star captioned the picture.
“The only reason fathers were made was to convince you that’s ‘Its OK’ even when it’s not.and to warm frozen hands,” wrote Shah Rukh alongside a collage of pictures of himself, his father and his three children — Aryan, Suhana, Abram.
Johar, who lost his filmmaker father Yash Johar due to a chest infection in 2004, tweeted, “He does not express. allows his wife to take centre stage. makes you afraid at times. but his heart only beats for you.#HappyFathersDay”
Bachchan’s son Abhishek shared an old picture of him holding the hands of his father and grandfather as well.
“One of my most favourite photographs. My Dadaji [grandfather], father and a smaller version of me. #3Generations,” he captioned it.
Dabangg star Sonakshi Sinha, who will be seen with her actor-politician father Shatrugan Sinha in the upcoming movie shared a picture of a portrait of them on social media.
“Happy fathers day to my first and forever hero @ShatruganSinha! Love you pops!” she captioned the photo. —PTI
