Tabu in town for Mayyur Girotra store
Bollywood stars were in town for the opening of designer Mayyur Girotra’s store
Indian designer Mayyur Girotra launched his flagship store in the Middle East in Dubai on Saturday night — and he had some help from Bollywood stars.
Actress Tabu and Malaika Arora Khan were at the store in Jumeirah, along with musicians Amaan and Ayaan Ali Khan, for whom Girotra has designed in the past. Other regular clients include Deepika Padukone, Huma Qureshi, Sonam Kapoor, Sushmita Sen and Karisma Kapoor.
Based in Delhi, Girotra is known for his take on feminine collections, fusing contemporary looks with Indian sensibilities.
“I am thrilled to be introducing Mayyur Girotra Couture in the Middle East market. My collection brings forth a traditional twist to modern wear whilst preserving the historical destinations of India,” he said.
The Mayyur Girotra boutique is located on Jumeirah 1, opposite Beach Centre.
