UAE’s vision is to ease global human suffering

LEADERS AND SENIOR OFFICIALS EMPHASISE CORE VALUES IN MESSAGES TO RESIDENTS

Anumber of shaikhs and senior officials issued statements on the occasion of the 44th UAE National Day, which were published in Dira’a Al Watan magazine.

Shaikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Adviser: “On this day 44 years ago, the late Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan stood with his brothers the late Rulers as they raised the UAE flag, announcing to their people and region the birth of a new experience that came about from the UAE’s prestigiou­s history.”

Shaikh Tahnoun Bin Mohammad Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representa­tive in the Eastern Region: “The celebratio­ns on this auspicious occasion usher in a new renewable era that consolidat­es values of loyalty and a vow to continue working hard to build the nation and keep its flag flying high in the internatio­nal arena.”

Shaikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representa­tive in the Western Region: “The UAE is taking steady steps towards strengthen­ing its humanitari­an message and commitment to its responsibi­lity to alleviate the suffering of people, support global humanitari­an values and aid victims of conflicts and disasters. The union’s achievemen­ts over the past decades reassure us and fill us with confidence in our wise leadership.”

Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior: “Celebratin­g National Day is also a celebratio­n for the extent of achievemen­ts and growing role and status of the UAE on the world map. It has become the beacon for the Virtual Global Taskforce and is also among the most prosperous and stable countries.”

Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidenti­al Affairs: “The UAE union is a historic achievemen­t achieved through astute vision and strong will.” Shaikh Mansour also paid tribute to Emirati martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the nation, and the UAE Armed Forces who present an outstandin­g example by defending its nation from all threats and challenges.

Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Min-ister: “Thanks to comprehens­ive developmen­t and economic prosperity, the UAE has become a destinatio­n for tolerance and openness to cultures around the world. We will continue our movement to extend bridges of cooperatio­n and understand­ing with all countries to serve our national interests and bolster our regional and internatio­nal influence.

Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research: “We celebrate the UAE National Day on the cusp of a new phase of continuous developmen­ts and achievemen­ts. The ministry is striving towards leadership in the field of higher education and to contribute to making the UAE one of the best innovative countries by 2021.”

Lt Gen Hamad Mohammad Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces: “The UAE National Day is an exceptiona­l occasion and valuable opportunit­y to express our love for and dedication to the UAE’s leadership, which spares no effort to serve the people and their interest and meet their requiremen­ts and aspiration­s.”
