Priya says Salman’s a fair judge
Priya Malik, who has been evicted from the reality show says actor Salman Khan doesn’t play favourites.
In the past, some of the show’s contestants have called Khan biased for allegedly favouring certain participants. However, Malik said: “No, I wouldn’t say so ... I would not call him biased at all. In fact, he is one of the most unbiased reality TV show host[s] that you can find on the planet. He says it like it is, and some people can’t digest it.”
Malik added that everyone in the Bigg Boss house looks forward to the Dabangg star’s weekend episodes “because we know he would bring fairness and justice to the house. He brings up things from his perspective and also the audience’s perspective”.
When asked about her eviction from the show so close to its close, she said: “I was definitely disappointed ... I guess being declared as the first finalist ... that kind of backfired. I think the audience must have thought that I am already a finalist.”
The Adelaide high schoolteacher, who has roots in Dehradun, added that her aim was to get into showbiz through her stint in the show, which airs on Colors channel. “I would be lying if I say that it was not my aim. I knew that it would be a great launch in the Indian TV industry and I am hoping that proves to be right,” said the former Big Brother Australia contestant.
She was also asked who she is rooting for on the show. “Rishabh [Sinha]. He deserves to win. He has been entertaining, likeable and has proved himself. He’s a genuine guy.”
Sinha still has to battle it out with his co-contestants — Mandana Karimi, Rochelle Rao, Keith Sequeira and Prince Narula — on the show that pits celebrities against each other to win the title.
