Fast-track licence for medical professionals

VIP service to complete processing and delivery of documents in five days instead of the two weeks taken normally

-

The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has introduced a VIP licensing service for health-care professionals, which will fast-track the process that normally takes two weeks to five days, a senior health official said.

The VIP service will cover everything from processing of documents to delivery of licence.

Health-care professionals can send an email to the DHA’s health regulation department and a VIP service coordinator will inform them about the documents needed and schedule an appointment.

Dr Layla Al Marzouqi, director of Health Regulation at DHA, said: “The coordinator will upload all their information and documents online, schedule the mandatory online examination as per the health professional’s convenience and, once the licence is ready, get it delivered to the health professional’s address.”

She added that in case a candidate does not successfully complete his online assessment, he/she can reapply. The maximum number of attempts is three within three months of requesting the VIP service.

Currently, there are more than 30,000 DHA-licensed health professionals. The health regulation department receives an average of 200 requests for professional licences daily.
