Sunrisers Hyderabad’s leftarm spinner Bipul Sharma, who has made a mark for himself in the domestic circuit, yesterday said he is working on his fitness and other aspects of his game to improve his chances for national selection.

“I am working on my fitness and trying to boost my strong points and address my weak points. If you perform well, it [India selection] will happen,” the 32-year-old all-rounder from Punjab said.

Sharma, who had earlier played for Kings XI Punjab in IPL and also Himachal Pradesh, India A, North Zone in the domestic circuit, made a name for himself with the ball as well as by making useful contributions as a middle-order batsman.

The all-rounder said he is working on improving his performances in the ongoing edition of IPL and added that he gets guidance from coaches in improving his skills and expanding his knowledge of the game during the IPL.

Expressing confidence on the performance of his team so far, Sharma hoped that it would get better. He said other young Sunrisers players like Mustafizur Rahman had also been performing well for the team.
