Get the kids reading

There’s really nothing that can replace literature in a child’s life (whatever they tell you about that new app). Take them to this year’s Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival, where there are 11 days of children’s authors, activities, awards and workshops. Even better: It’s free to enter, at Sharjah Expo Centre, and there’s even face painting, art workshops, storytelling and puppet shows. It runs until April 30, 4-9pm on weekends (from 9am on weekdays). Fans of Majid Kids TV can meet the cartoon characters including Majid and Kasslan.
