Seven bus routes across Dubai set for upgrades

Network to extend to new areas with higher trip frequency

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will upgrade services on seven public bus routes effective from tomorrow.

Mohammad Abdullah Al Ali, Director of Planning and Business Developmen­t at RTA’s Public Transport Agency, said the seven routes are Route 17, 32C, 367, C7, F1, F10 and Route X25.

“Improving these routes is a quick response to the needs of mass transit users and in line with the growing mobility in Dubai following the rapid expansion of public transit means,” he said.

He added that these improvemen­ts are in line with the RTA’s third strategic goal, which is People’s Happiness.

“Improving the routes is one of the strategic objectives and key pillars” to further popularise mass transit among people, Al Ali said.

from Al Sabkha Bus Station will extend to Dubai Police Residentia­l Community at Muhaisnah 4 and other districts in area.

from Satwa Bus Station to Al Ghusais Bus Station will pass by Al Jafliya metro station.

will run from etisalat metro station to New Dragon Mart.

from Abu Hail metro station to Dubai Healthcare City metro station, will have increased frequency between Union metro station and Healthcare City Metro station.

from Union metro station to Al Baraha, will now serve bus stops of the Union Metro station on Omar Bin Al Khattab Street.

from Al Rashidiya Metro station to Al Warqa’a will cover more districts in Al Warqa’a 1 at increased frequency.

will operate from Al Karama Metro station to Dubai Outsource City through Silicon Oasis.
