The exhibition, covering 63,700 square metres, will feature 18 national pavilions and 29 government organisations. Over 23,000 visitors are expected to attend the event, which will run until October 6.

Dubai is diversifying its energy mix. It aims to generate 7 per cent of its energy from clean energy sources by 2020. This figure is expected to reach 75 per cent by 2050. Wetex will also include the Innovation Hall, which will showcase innovative products, promote scientific research and help devise innovative solutions in energy, water, environment and sustainability, Al Tayer said.
