Bamboo, Filipino music icon, to perform at DWTC

-

Filipino rock star Bamboo is back in Dubai for Bamboo Live in Dubai 2016 at Dubai World Trade Centre on October 27 as part of his world concert tour Bamboo World Tour 2016.

A regular in Dubai, the concert will mark his eighth performance in the UAE.

“It’s always a great pleasure to return to the UAE as the fans there never fail to give me a warm welcome. By the time we reach Dubai, we will already have played live shows in Canada, Scotland, England and Ireland, so I hope to see a lot of my Dubai friends when we get to the UAE,” says the 41-yearold star in a statement. “It’s going to be fun and it’s going to be loud. I’m expecting a lot of energy from the crowd, as well as myself and the band.”

Having the opportunity to provide an authentic link to their homeland in the Philippines is a fact not lost on a singer who has reached a massive global TV audience thanks to his role as coach and mentor on both The Voice of the Philippines and The Voice Kids.

“The support I get when I play abroad is something else so for one night, I’m going to bring those guys back home — that’s a promise,” he added.

Bamboo is currently promoting his second solo album Bless This Mess.

Tickets, priced at Dh125 for general admission and Dh175 for grandstand seating, are on sale at spicylemon.rocks and from platinumlist.net. Doors open 7pm. Show starts 8pm.
