Jailed for selling expired rice
The
sentences of five expatriates who were found guilty of selling expired rice were upheld by an appeals court this week.
In August, three defendants were sentenced to three years in jail and fined 15,000 riyals.
The other two were sentenced to one year in jail and fined 5,000 riyals. Authorities raided the company in Barka in May 2016. The company was not named.
