Argentina seeks answers on Falklands flights
Argentina’s
government said on Wednesday that Britain’s Royal Air Force made 18 flights between the disputed Falkland Islands and airports in Brazil over the last two years, calling them a breach of agreements between the two South American countries.
Argentina lost a brief but bloody war with Britain after Argentine troops invaded the South Atlantic archipelago in 1982.
The Argentine foreign ministry said in a statement that it is “concerned” about six flights last year and 12 in 2015. (AP)
