Construction worker falls to death in Sharjah

39-year-old worker fell to his death from an under-construction building in Sharjah’s Al Khan area around 5pm on Monday, Sharjah Police said.

The Indian reportedly slipped while working on the fifth floor. Coworkers reported the incident to the police.

A team from the Criminal and Investigation Department was dispatched to the building. The man was pronounced dead at the scene and the body moved to the forensic laboratory.

Police are quizzing company officials. (Staff Report)
