PM demands solution to curb power outages

Minister Nawaz Sharif has ordered officials to curb power shortages in the country and said challenges faced by the people should be resolved.

He said this while chairing a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Energy held in Islamabad. In the meeting, factors causing shortages of power were reviewed.

Sharif expressed disappointment over negligence shown by the concerned departments, and questioned why planning had not been done before the onset of hot weather, keeping in view the shortage of water in the rivers. (Online)
