Here’s a look at some segments that have us hooked
J uly’s around the corner already and while we contemplate once again how time seems to be passing us by at record-breaking speed, ‘Podcast Post’ brings to you five podcasts that have truly had us gripped this first-half of 2017. Happy listening, folks.
READING GLASSES
Designed for book nerds, Reading Glasses helps you get more out of your reading time. Every week, hosts Brea Grant and Mallory O’Meara hold lively half-hour discussions on tips and tricks for integrating reading into a busy lifestyle, whether you’re a casual reader or someone who prefers the company of the written word over regular social interaction. From learning how to organise your bookshelves to conquering your ‘To Read’ list and reviews of books (and all kinds of books: romance, sciencefiction, literature, comic books and the like) and reading gadgets, Reading Glasses is your new ultimate resource on literary experiences. Only three episodes are out so far, so the podcast will be a breeze to catch up with.
PITCH MAKEOVER

Combining the podcast wizardry of Gina Delvac (host of the entertaining news podcast Call Your Girlfriend) and start-up market knowledge of Natalia Oberti Noguera (founder and CEO of Pipeline Angels, a network of women angel investors), Pitch Makeover aims to help entrepreneurs (especially women and POC entrepreneurs) to polish their business ideas, making them market ready. Every week, entrepreneurs pitch their ideas, the hosts discuss and then suggest meaningful edits to the pitch. Season one has eight episodes so far.
